Challenger Sails was founded in 1978 and began to produce windsurfing sails in 1979 with the two partners Mario Mainero and Claudio Badiali.
From the early years Challenger Sails has developed, designed and engineered windsurfing sails following a specific philosophy. Remaining true to own ideas and technical know-how with a flair for design, without being slave to competitor trends. This has permitted the Company to survive through difficult market times that have in recent years made a natural selection of brands.Our victory record is rich in both national and international fields and our thanks go out to past and present Challenger team riders: P.Neirotti, D.Kalama, F.Balini, C.Rotelli, P.Pacitto, P.Ghione, T.Garcia, again in the World Cup, Chris Pressler, T.Emig, M.Re, A.
