Available in sizes 4.0,4.5, 5.5, 6.0, 6.5,7.0,7.5 it’s the natural link to the big sisters Liquido, Primo and Fluido without interfering with their respective uses.
Desired and designed by the challenger team to meet the requirements of beginner/advanced and/or seasonal windsurfers but also for those searching for a well performing sail that “covers those missing yet not often used sizes” at a very tempting price. UNICO is a kind of “all terrain” sail, created with particular attention to weight and comfort during sailing.
Made principally from monofilm but reinforced at the base and leech with Xtra weave, it is light in weight, easy to control and easily adaptable to any type of mast diameter.
All this has been achieved by using the glorious challenger freerides as basis, a guarantee in performance and versatility, and by modifying step by step the various prototypes. For example, by diminishing further the head exposition, with respect to the more noble sails in the range, we have obtained better hold in overpower conditions.
The Floating Batten System effect in this line is less accentuated than in others an offers perfect rotation of the battens and permits the use of any recently produced mast. Truly soft at first impact, it then reveals stability. Quick to start off in planning with good sailing acceleration if combined with a pure freeride.
