UPDATE from Maciek Rutkowski from Bol, Brac Croatia
IFCA Grand Prix Bol, Brac, Croatia 2018
Maciek Rutkowski showed a strong performance in Bol, finished in 5th , missed the podium by one point, but tested new sails for 2019. Well done Maciek!!
“I went to Bol knowing it will be a super light wind event and knowing that that’s probably my weakest condition. Claudio Badiali prepared a brand new 9.4 prototype for me and off I went. I was actually performing really well, especially in acceleration of starts and jibes in 8-10 knots of wind. Unfortunately on the finals I made some mistakes plus got a bit unlucky and only in the last one I could perform on my level. But that event wasn’t about the end result so I’m not too bothered. Looking forward to IFCA Worlds in Denmark and the PWA season finals in Sylt!
Maciek Rutkowski (POL-23) will compete in the IFCA Slalom Worlds in Hvide Sande , Denmark in September 9th to 14th and in the PWA Slalom and Foiling finals in Westerland, Sylt, Germany on September 28th till October 7th. Currently the Polish is ranked 12th in the Foiling and 14th in the Slalom discipline and there is room to improve. We wish good luck and let the AERO+8 fly. It’s the pure racing machine and matches the aggressive style of Maciek perfectly.
